FRC's Tony Perkins speaks with Dana Loesch on NRA TV

On Thursday, Sep. 20, a shooting at a Rite Aid distribution that saw at least three people killed, several more injured, meant that there has been 3 workplace shootings in 24 hours.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan tweeted an initial response to the shooting:

Wednesday morning an employee at WTS Paradigm software company in Middleton, Wisconsin, entered the business and opened fire around 10:30 a.m. Police officers shot and killed the man believed to be the perpetrator of the shooting. Four people were injured, one of the four was seriously injured.

Just a mere few hours after the Middleton shooting there was a shooting in a Masontown, Pennsylvania, courthouse. Four people were injured in the shooting, and the shooter was shot and killed at the scene. The shooter was facing charges of domestic violence at that courthouse.

I mention these shootings, because the organization that has made sure our government doesn't have gun reform of any kind finds itself in the news.

OpenSecrets has obtained an audit of the National Rifle Association, showing that revenue and dues-paying member ship money has been dropped off dramatically over the last two years.

"The NRA went bing in 2016," writes OpenSecrets. Apparently, the NRA spent "at least $54.4 million boosting Republicans," in 2016. Trump would get $31.2 million from the NRA.

Along with shady-looking practices, the NRA spent more money than they were expecting. Ending 2016 "with a deficit of more than $14.8 million."

Although the NRA cut its spending by $76 million it was still living in the red because they had lost $56 million in revenue, and by the end of 2017, they had spent $26.1 million more than they had.

In 2016, the NRA got $163 million from members, but if fell to $128 million in 2017.

With NRA being drawn into the Russia investigation, and the financial "blacklisting" in states like New York. Just maybe, karma will get the organization for the years of doing their part to corrupt our political system, and the continuing of not ending mass shootings.
